Robotics for All is now offering tutoring services for k-12 students – Tutoring for All. Our system focuses on helping students with any academic questions relating to a variety of school subjects. We do not offer regular twice a week classes, but instead a one-to-one appointment with a tutor for one hour. Students may deliver their questions at their convenience during the tutoring hour.
Tutoring times are flexible.
We carefully screen our volunteers; all volunteers go through a comprehensive written application and interview before being accepted. Roughly 50% of all candidates who apply to volunteer with us get accepted. All volunteers over the age of 18 must pass a detailed background check run by our contractor Sterling Volunteers.
Watch the following 5-minute video to learn how to schedule for your appointment.
You can cancel your session 2 hours in advance without penalty. Any late cancellation/no show up for 2 times will result in the withholding of the tutoring privilege for 7 days.
We will be offering tutoring for the following subjects. Click on the subject name below to schedule your appointment. Since our tutors have limited availability, we do not have enough scheduling for all of the subjects. If you would like to schedule an appointment that marked as "Coming Soon", please email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will arrange you with a tutor soon.
What do tutoring sessions cover?
Tutoring sessions can be held for any student struggling with a specific topic in class or with homework. Our tutors aim to help students better understand concepts and succeed in their academics.
How much does tutoring cost?
Our tutoring service is free for the schools we partner with. Please feel free to donate to Robotics For All to help further its mission.
What materials are needed for a tutoring session?
A computer is recommended for the best experience. A smartphone or tablet can be used as well, but the experience may be more difficult especially on the smaller screen of a smartphone.
What is the format of Tutoring?
Tutoring will be held virtually through video call software Google Meet. Each session will be 1 hour maximum (flexible based on need).
